Sacramento County has many stresses that only a robust government can relieve. Our county government is complex. Understanding and fixing a complex system requires the ability to drill down to the individual processes. Each process has an input specification and produces something of value. That something of value then becomes an input to the next process, and so on. The efficient execution of all the tightly coupled processes becomes a robust government.

However, the execution may not be efficient. A bottleneck may form that slows down all of the next processes. Our supervisors must have the essential skill to drilldown and fix a bottleneck.

Our community has many blessings to count each day. Trees grow fast and tall. Summer nights are the best in the country. Winter skiing and Yosemite Park are a day trip away. A train trip to San Francisco is a day, also. We are the capitol city of the 4th largest economy in the world. However, some of our neighbors need to behave more ethically. Read on for my ideas to raise our ethical standard.
